17 Psychosynthesis

Psychosynthesis continues the Jungian concern with psychological transformation from the 'lower' to the 'higher' aspects of human-being. Founded by Italian psychiatrist, Roberto Assagioli (1888 - 1974), psychosynthesis is both a theory of, and a set of techniques for, human development towards a 'higher' self. Key is the idea of synthesis, the conscious and willed integration of the diverse aspects of the personality into a differentiated & unitary whole.
